voting only takes a few seconds, link in my bio + stories. and any shares / comments / general spreading of the word would mean the world x
down to the last few moss cardigans, available for down to the last few moss cardigans, available for one more week in @officialbrownthomas. once they’re gone, that’s it for this colourway…

post-swim shots by @chloeaillud, who found the perfect rock, covered in seaweed and barnacles that matched the natural flecks in the wool :)
first day of my new collection at brown thomas cre first day of my new collection at brown thomas create.

honestly such a surreal feeling seeing my work in the brown thomas windows this morning. on monday i drove up and down to dublin in one day to drop off the garments, then back up again last night just in time to watch the eclipse with my family, so it’s been a slightly mad few days.

i loved meeting so many of you in store today and actually getting to see people trying everything on. it’s such a rare opportunity to be able to try my pieces on in person, especially a collection i’ve put so much work into.

there’s a lot of pink this time, which took a lot of refining, and i’m dying to hear what everyone thinks of it in real life :)

you’ll find me on level 2, straight off the escalator. i’m going to try to be there tomorrow from 12–2 if anyone wants help with sizing, styling or just wants to come say hello.

if i’m not there and you don’t see your size on the rail, please ask one of the lovely brown thomas floor staff as there is more stock in the stockroom.

thank you so much to everyone who came in today, and to the brown thomas team for making it all feel very real. can’t quite believe my little home knitwear brand is sitting here x
i don’t know if it was the best idea to take a wee i don’t know if it was the best idea to take a week holiday before i launch in brown thomas tomorrow but i got to turn 32 surrounded by the people i love most in the world 🇮🇪
last day with my lil frenchie @susiefrancesconi last day with my lil frenchie @susiefrancesconi

when i got the email asking if i’d like to take an erasmus student, i thought it was a scam…

thank you for making the journey to dromahair, and for somehow surviving four months of complete chaos. stray dogs, the car getting hit, stopping to help an old lady who’d fallen over, marceline demanding milk, easkey stealing your slippers and whatever fresh disaster each morning decided to throw at us.

thank you for improving my lunch game, putting up with all my daily antics, and for all the hard work. i think you now understand why i found the interview question, “what does an average work day look like?” impossible to answer.

going to miss you to bits. although, seeing as you’re joining my family holiday next week, i don’t think i’ll get the chance just yet. xxx

Product Care

The great thing about merino wool knitwear is that it requires far less washing than synthetic fibres. Merino wool is breathable and self cleaning. Airing your knitwear on a crisp, breezy day is enough for the wool to neutralise and feel fresh again. Wool is naturally dirt repellent. Even liquid dirt finds it hard to penetrate the fibre, but rather stays on the surface, where once dry, it can be brushed off easily. Wool is also able to bind and neutralise sweat and is naturally resistant to odours, making it ideal for multiple wears. So, if your knitwear isn’t physically dirty, there is no rush to wash it! If there is a small mark, a spot clean will do the job. The less you wash it, the longer your wool will last.

If you do need to wash your knits, Pearl recommends hand washing with care:

  • Use warm water and mix it with a gentle wool detergent.
  • Submerge the garment and soak it for 10-15 minutes.
  • Carefully rinse the garment in warm water.
  • Press or roll in a clean, dry towel to remove as much water as possible. Do not wring it.
  • Never tumble dry pure wool.
  • Place it flat on a dry towel, keep it away from sunlight and let it air-dry. Avoid any creases or wrinkles by straightening out while damp. Wool will dry in the shape it is placed in.
  • If your washing machine has a good delicate programme, you can machine wash in cold water before drying as detailed above.

** Please note: do NOT wash any pompoms in the washing machine, unless you want to see your fluffy head topper turn into a squidgy felt pebble forever. **
