Wee little update on sale orders: I’ve been get Wee little update on sale orders:

I’ve been getting a lot of emails asking when your order will arrive! In the email confirmation you received after ordering I say it takes two weeks for your order to be complete before dispatch. This is because all products need hand finishing before they’re ready to go.
I have approx ⅓ of the sale orders fully finished and packaged but they haven’t been posted out yet because…...

Anpost only collects parcels from your premises if you have over 80 parcels going out that day! So it makes sense for me to post everything together! I will book the van to collect everything together next Monday when I will have everything finished (two weeks from Valentine’s Sale)

I had hoped to get everything collected earlier but I’m waiting on more packaging supplies.

I usually get my brown sacks from a potato supplier in the UK but they no longer ship to Ireland post Brexit. So I ordered brown mailers from vikingdirect.ie presuming they were based in Ireland. I ordered on 5th February and got a shipping confirmation from UPS the mailers were actually coming from Leicester and I would be hit with custom charges. After 3 weeks waiting on delivery I finally got through to UPS customer service to be told my parcel was abandoned at Dublin Port due to incorrect documentation. I was never alerted to this, whenever I checked the tracking number it said “in transit”. I will not receive my order and will have to wait 7-10 days for a refund.

I have ordered a stopgap order of biodegradable mailing bags from Longford which will hopefully be here in the next few days and I can package up the rest of the orders.

After this sale I am going to take time out to source new suppliers in Ireland for all my packaging, but it’s slow to find ones that match my aesthetic.

Please be patient. I'm only one person, we live in an instant culture and it’s hard not to expect things immediately! I hate writing posts like this because they seem negative but I’m honestly so grateful for all of you always x
Awh I'm still on a high from selling out on Sunday Awh I'm still on a high from selling out on Sunday :)) I actually haven't really been feeling much lately at all, so this is a much appreciated boost to both me and my brand.
Anyway thank you all so much, I'm too dumb to know what to say rn so here's some motd stats:

30 jumpers sold out within 3 minutes!?
96 orders across babywear, accessories and garments in 5 mins 🙂
My website usually gets between 100-300 page views a day but on Sunday between 12pm - 1pm it got 11,600 page views lol
Ehm I've got 21 orders packed up so far, so only 75 to go.

I hope to post all garments on Monday and all accessories and babywear towards the end of next week!

Thank you x I'm now excited to launch the new pieces in March instead of nervous x
I’m going to have to come up with a new way to d I’m going to have to come up with a new way to decorate my apartment when these babies start to leave home tomorrow 😭
psssst some day I’m going to open my own shop bu psssst some day I’m going to open my own shop but the secret is; it’s actually going to be a really fucking good deli with jumpers in the back ✨
Size XS, M, XL, XXL ready for the sale on Sunday! Size XS, M, XL, XXL ready for the sale on Sunday!
Sizing has taken me a year to work out! It’s difficult to grade up knit patterns without altering the stitch patterns and overall look of the garment. It is also difficult to label each size as they look different on everyone! They are handcrafted garments so exact measurements will vary. Most of my designs are large fitting, they’re meant to look oversized! So thank you for your patience, I really find sizing a headache to work out but I'm happier every time a new piece gets finished.

Thank you all for your enquiries about items for sale on Sunday. I'm literally blown away by the interest already! But please note that this is just a studio sale! So not all sizes will be available in the sale! In fact in most styles there will be only one size per garment. I don't want this to be stressful for anyone! It's just a small surprise sample sale and maybe you'll get lucky and if not don't worry the new collection launch in March will have so many beautiful products across a wider size and price range.

PS Size guides will be in the individual product descriptions, it's really hard for me to reply to dms about specific garment sizes. I'm doing this all by myself and I feel guilty about not replying soon enough. I'm focusing on getting everything photographed and listed online, so thank you for your patience and support. Love Pearl x

PPS my website is closed till Sunday x

* I don’t know when I will do this yet I’m just writing it here to put the pressure on myself to make it happen lol ✨

Woah I got 32 message requests on Friday for a car Woah I got 32 message requests on Friday for a cardigan that is not even available! Thank you all so much for your interest, I'm sure it's annoying when I never seem to have any stock so thank you for your patience.

Tbh production has been a 'mare for me since last March. I don't even know how to go into details properly as it's been so messy. But I'm hoping by this March to have come full circle and be able to do a relaunch of new stock!

My wait list has been closed since Autumn and I do not have the capacity to add to it. I still have A LOT of people on the list, I'm trying to get them all sorted but unfortunately due to lot of reasons some of my wait list orders won't even be guaranteed. I will be in touch x

So yes the plan is after taking care of the people still on my wait list I will do a big stock drop in March. I will post the dates well in advance and I'm sorry no body can pre-book garments.

I just don't want to take preorders when my production is so vulnerable, I'd be afraid to let people down. So I think the fairest way is just when the garments are ready in March I will list them for sale 🙂 LMKWYT

Product Care

The great thing about merino wool knitwear is that it requires far less washing than synthetic fibres. Merino wool is breathable and self cleaning. Airing your knitwear on a crisp, breezy day is enough for the wool to neutralise and feel fresh again. Wool is naturally dirt repellent. Even liquid dirt finds it hard to penetrate the fibre, but rather stays on the surface, where once dry, it can be brushed off easily. Wool is also able to bind and neutralise sweat and is naturally resistant to odours, making it ideal for multiple wears. So, if your knitwear isn’t physically dirty, there is no rush to wash it! If there is a small mark, a spot clean will do the job. The less you wash it, the longer your wool will last.

If you do need to wash your knits, Pearl recommends hand washing with care:

  • Use warm water and mix it with a gentle wool detergent.
  • Submerge the garment and soak it for 10-15 minutes.
  • Carefully rinse the garment in warm water.
  • Press or roll in a clean, dry towel to remove as much water as possible. Do not wring it.
  • Never tumble dry pure wool.
  • Place it flat on a dry towel, keep it away from sunlight and let it air-dry. Avoid any creases or wrinkles by straightening out while damp. Wool will dry in the shape it is placed in.
  • If your washing machine has a good delicate programme, you can machine wash in cold water before drying as detailed above.

** Please note: do NOT wash any pompoms in the washing machine, unless you want to see your fluffy head topper turn into a squidgy felt pebble forever. **
